Roles & Responsibilities

As an Analyst you will work in Commercial Banking, Independent Business. You will provide efficient and customer focused On-Boarding experience to new Independent Business clients to CIBC. Your responsibilities will include the coordination of Signing Authorities, Cash Management products and services, as well coordination with Relationship Managers/Financial Services Associates and the CST/BCC/CPS teams to ensure a timely and smooth transition. You will also be responsible for Cash Management sales support and services within the Independent Business team.  You may perform transactional/needs analysis on existing clients and research on prospective new business opportunities.   You will become a resource for the client and the sales team by acting as a key interface to internal partners in order to facilitate initial product installation. Your career Path could potentially extend to Mid-Market Cash Management or Non-Profit Relationship Manager.

How You’ll Succeed

Subject Matter Expertise – Become a “subject matter expert” with respect to the administration of On-Boarding new clients onto CIBC’s Commercial Banking, Independent Business platform. You will become highly knowledgeable on CIBC’s core Cash Management services, including benefits, applicability and implementation.  Support Relationship Mangers in Independent Business with Cash Management product expertise for sales and on-going service.
Collaboration – Work with Relationship Managers, Financial Services Associates, Branch Network, Cash Management, BCC, CST and CPS groups to ensure smooth transition to CIBC.
Analysis – Analyze accounts in the pre/post sales cycle, providing relevant data and information to the sales team.   Provide specific transaction analysis to support account review and pricing negotiations. Conduct industry and client research to contribute to the development of proposals,  (including RFP’s) presentations and  pricing strategies, which ensure achievement of targeted profitability thresholds.
Client First- Proactively assess your clients’ needs and propose solutions to deliver to meet those needs. Identify, through the analysis process and through client dealings, and refer other potential sales and/or service improvement opportunities.

You have strong technical abilities. You have strong command of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint as well as ability to quickly learn proprietary software applications supporting the origination and cash management sales process.
Education You've Completed. You have a Bachelors degree in  Commerce or Business Administration
