We currently have an opportunity for an Analyst, Pricing Analytics to join our Pricing Analytics team within our Merchandising department based out of our office in Stellarton, NS or Mississauga, ON.

Job Description

What you'll get to do in this fast paced role:

Work closely with Pricing Strategy
Work closely with Category Managers to build knowledge of categories
Manage the SAS models
Ensure SAS model accuracy through MAPE scores and monitoring
Refine forecast models to provide accurate forecasting in RPO
Work with IT to manage the SAS system and relationship
Work with the pricing team to ensure pricing effectiveness and system accuracy
Use analytics experience to anticipate, propose, and lead the deployment of analytic services
Collaborate with business resources regarding identification of program needs, design of deliverables, and coordinate with internal team members regarding the design and business requirements of analytics services.
Advance the use of software and technology solutions for data analytics, and business intelligence to support operational activities and optimize efficiency
Act as a liaison between the business, other internal teams and SAS regarding playbacks of results and new software tool enhancements
Stay up-to-date on cutting edge and best practice methods in analytics, adapting those practices for implementation

Job Requirements

What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:

Required:

3+ years related Analyst experience
Relevant Post Secondary education (Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math etc.)
Understanding of the industry, its competitive environment and appropriate benchmarks
Working Knowledge of Category Management functions and principles
Experience with large amounts of data and analytics
Possess knowledge of grocery retail merchandising pricing strategies and supporting analytics
Ability to analyze data and provide value recommendations to Executive Leadership and Category Management
Possess strong instincts for new consumer, competitor and market trends as they impact pricing strategy and analytics
Ability to understand and maintain multiple retail strategies across banners

Preferred:

Advanced degree in a math-related field ( Econometrics, Engineering, Applied Sciences)
Direct experience with advanced forecasting techniques  (ARIMA, UCM, etc.), applied in a business setting
