As a Business Systems Analyst II within Inventory & Service Fulfillment team, your efforts will influence and shape the customer experience.


How?

Because you are passionate about developing solutions and digital strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness, and improve customer satisfaction. You know how to design, develop and maintain customer-facing, multi-channel web portals solutions for the enterprise. Specifically, you will help define and build the technical framework and roadmap for a scalable and secure suite of portal applications that will be used by our front-line agents, customers and partners to explore, understand, order and report on TELUS products and services, and track progress.

You are a Creative & Analytical Thinker:

  • By performing cost-benefit/alternatives analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations for projects and operational activities
  • Develop application requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the user community
  • Execute and implement impact analysis of project requirements or change requests from an end-to-end perspective of enterprise stack while identifying impacts to all applicable upstream and downstream systems
  • Collaborate and identify key stakeholders and critical success factors for projects


You are an Expert in your Field:

  • Successfully creates and manages work breakdown structure (WBS) to identify and sequence project activities and estimate associated resource requirements, duration and cost using formal estimating methods
  • Have experience implementing systems with excellent attention to detail
  • Engages the appropriate use of standardized components and support the development of new ones
  • Provides excellent application support, problem solving, configuration, development, testing, deployment and performance tuning
  • Certifies system designs support reliable, scalable, secure, and flexible solutions


You are an excellent Collaborative Communicator:

  • Delivers support documentation and training for operations team members
  • Coach, develop and work with offshore team members
  • Responsible for the completion of comprehensive complex assignments on time and delegate as required


Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Excellent knowledge of developing application requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the user community
  • Experienced with working with Agile methodologies and continuous delivery approaches such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Continuous Integration or test-driven development (TDD)
  • Either current or recent full stack development experience
  • Qualified in developing complex technical requirements for distributed applications
  • Proficient with the Unified Modeling Language (UML)/Object Modeling, related tools and methodologies
  • Strong experience developing technical design specifications and use cases
  • Skilled in creating modern, intuitive, secure and high performance web portal solutions
  • Understanding of current web infrastructure and ability to make decisions on how pieces move over to minimize disruption
  • Experienced in building and supporting web applications using HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript framework, tooling and libraries such as Angular, React, Node.js, JQuery, RequireJS, Foundation and Bootstrap
  • Have working experience with WebServices/representational state transfer (REST) Application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • Knowledge in distributed Java/ Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE)/Oracle based environment
  • Other tools & technologies: Oracle databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), Linux
