The Campus Administrator works closely with the Principal and Guidance Counselor in a supportive role to ensure the smooth running of each campus.
The Principal will meet with the Campus Administrator on a regular basis to coordinate appointments, calendars, campus and teaching supplies, teacher contracts and other varied duties.
A Campus Administrator performs a diverse set of tasks under the pressure of timelines and confidentiality. Jobs do vary depending on the size of the school, but generally, the Campus Administrator will:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Principal, Guidance Counselor and teaching staff;
Ensure that the school operates in a consistently organized manner every day;
Coordinate appropriate collection of documentation from students and staff;
Maintain and oversee all recordkeeping for students and staff;
Adhere to rigorous student and staff confidentiality protocols in all circumstances;
Act as first point-of-contact to callers, relay messages, and transfer calls as appropriate;
Handle visitor inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate person according to their needs;
Distribute newsletters and other information in a timely manner;
Maintain an event calendar;
Make copies of correspondence and other printed material;
Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material;
Collect and disburse funds from the campus budget; keep accurate records of collections and disbursements; tracking petty cash and campus credit card
Record attendance and absences; make phone calls as appropriate;
Manage projects from a clerical perspective, and contribute to teamwork;
Order, track and dispense supplies;
Prepare teacher contracts and maintain teacher pay records in a timely manner;
Liaison between service staff including campus security, grounds, cleaning and similar operations;
Joining the CA conference calls and team meetings;
Performing other duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the campus, including delegating work to assistant administrators or night-time supervisors;
Communicate regularly with Head Office staff and various departments.
