The Waterloo Region District School Board is now accepting applications for those interested in a position on the Elementary (Primary/Junior/Intermediate 7/8) Occasional Teacher Roster. Appointments will be effective upon receipt of required documentation from successful candidates.
Only applicants in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers are permitted to apply. Candidates must be available to begin occasional teaching immediately upon successful placement on the Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster.
French and Math qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a combination of 2 of the following qualifications: Primary, Junior, or Intermediate. Candidates with Intermediate/Senior qualifications only are not eligible to apply.
Selected candidates must be available to attend an interview at the Board office in Kitchener, Ontario. There will be no phone or web based interviews.
Please note, for candidates with French or FSL qualifications, a portion of your interview will be in French.

If you are an existing Elementary Occasional Teacher with the WRDSB you DO NOT need to apply to this posting. Current WRDSB Secondary Occasional Teachers wishing to transfer to the Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster may apply, however if successful you will be removed from the WRDSB Secondary Occasional Teacher Roster.
Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and proof of educational qualifications will be required at the time of an offer of employment.
