Required Skills

What you’ll be doing:

The individual will be responsible for contributing towards full management reporting, financial accounting and analysis for IMAX Corporation consolidated. The Company has over 20 entities with international operations and joint ventures.

Some of the specifics include:

  • Prepare/update schedules supporting the Financial Statements;
  • Assist with the overall financial reporting process on a quarterly basis;
  • Assist with Customer Master Data creation in SAP including creating sales organizations, distribution channels, account assignment groups, updating customer names and addresses, etc.
  • Completing Statistics Canada surveys
  • Other tasks as required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution; CPA in process or designated would be an asset
  • 1 year related experience in supporting a financial department
  • Solid analytical and technical skills
  • Team player, able to interact professionally with members of the organization outside of the Finance group
  • Strong computer skills and must be fully proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP or knowledge in an ERP reporting tool would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior management team
  • Motivated, ability to multi-task
  • Ability to follow up and resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner
