We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Managed Security Services (MSS) team as a Security Advisor. The Opportunity: The Security Advisor is a senior influential role that is part of a team of Security Solution Architects and Security Advisors. This role is a senior technical IT security professional who will be the security prime for a large enterprise-level client based in Montreal QC. This role is a key member of the service delivery team working with both the client and internal CGI technical teams to ensure that the overall security requirements are met as well as to continually evolve the security roadmap with the client. This role provides strategic cyber security leadership to senior client stakeholders as well as internal colleagues. The successful candidate has experience working directly with clients and has a deep understanding of enterprise level infrastructure and the cyber security field. The Security Advisor is a self-starter who works effectively with minimal supervision in an exciting and highly dynamic environment. The Team: Managed Security Services (MSS) team includes SOCs, deployment and support, business management, and business growth teams. Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: • Technical security lead for a large enterprise-level client; become a trusted advisor to the client. • Develop a solid operational understanding of the client’s security requirements and security services, advising and guiding the client and CGI as the client’s business and security needs evolve. Over time, assess opportunities for new or updated security technologies and services. • Develop a solid technical understanding of the client’s environment, including the operation of each business service and how security services have been implemented across the infrastructure. • Has a solid understanding of security technologies, cyber security policies and standards and the cyber security landscape and threats. • Assist the client’s CISO and other senior client representatives in promoting and expanding the scope of security services in their departments. • Working as part of the delivery team and supported by our large technical team, provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to the technical team delivering security services to this client. • Works effectively with all CGI teams that are part of the service delivery. • Interface with the client to periodically review security policies and the alignment of technical security services being delivered. • Given the nature of this role, some travel within the province is required and occasional after-hours work may be required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Experience and Education: • A University degree in IT security with 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and experience communicating effectively with clients, vendors and colleagues. Strong ability to influence and negotiate. • Experience presenting technical information to clients, explaining how it meets their needs and the balance of ensuring security. • Experience conducting requirements analysis and architecting complex technical solutions. • Working knowledge and experience with various network and security technologies including but not limited to: Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Firewall Management, VPN, Securing Routers/Switch, SIEM, Log Management, End Point Security, Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems and Strong Authentication. • Strong knowledge of networking protocols. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complexities of how components connect and relate to each other. • Strong written and verbal communication skills in fluent English; ability to write clear and concise documentation. • Strong understanding of security policies, procedures and meeting audit/compliance requirements. • Strong teamwork skills for facilitating productive cross-group cooperation. • Self-motivated; ability to work with limited supervision. • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize personal and team workload. • Ability to deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure. • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level I (Enhanced Reliability). • Must be fluent in French both spoken and written Desirable: • Knowledge/experience in other technical security services such as: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Management, Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, Web Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Application Firewall (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM). • Security certification such as one or more of the following would be considered a strong asset: CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC such as GCFW, GCIA, GCWN. • Familiarity with PCI, NERC. MITS, ITSG 33 or other compliance requirements. • Understanding of information security frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, COBIT. • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level II (Secret).
