Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Hydrologic/statistical analyses to support design event estimation 

Hydraulic analyses and design of water conveyance structures and energy dissipation structures

Hydrologic/hydraulic river routing and regime analyses

Water balance assessments including hydropower resource assessments

Sedimentation analyses

River bed and bank erosion analysis and protection design

Field inspections/measurements

Report writing and/or presentation preparation and delivery

Business development initiatives including proposal writing and development of internal marketing material

Qualifications: 

Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with specialization in water resources; strong preference will be given to those with a postgraduate degree. 

Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic computer modeling with tools such as HEC-HMS, Raven, HEC-RAS, MIKE, SWMM, River2D. Computational Fluid Dynamics experience in civil engineering hydraulics would be considered an asset

Experience in GIS applications and data management.

Interest and commensurate experience in a variety of hydrology and hydraulics applications such as flood risk analysis, hydropower, dam safety and rehabilitation, stormwater management, hydraulic structure design, river ice engineering, coastal engineering, and water resource assessment.

Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills

Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
