Job Description

Oversee and lead a team of Business Analysts with accountability for delivering business requirements that align with our Payments strategy. Provide leadership, direction and coaching to develop skills and organizational capabilities to meet/exceed strategic goals and achieve business results. Specifically this role will:

Manage and lead a team of Business Analysts / Specialists and oversee related business analysis activities and deliverables, liaising with our business partners and stakeholders to ensure we are meeting program goals

Provide management oversight on system integrator (vendor) business analysis resources to ensure alignment with expected deliverables and quality

Build and grow talent by developing skills and capabilities to ensure project success, achieve business results and improve the end to end payments experience for customers

Provide support and input to the required documentation/deliverables and monitor/assess to mitigate risks, ensure quality outputs and track progress

Ensure requirements practices for the team are aligned with enterprise direction, particularly with regards to TD Agile and managing the change in moving to this new delivery approach

Provide guidance and direction to ensure the team possesses a strong understanding of the customer experience when making decisions within projects/programs

Oversee, manage and prioritize business analysis resource allocation on projects and ensure appropriate level of expertise and capabilities are assigned to initiatives to effectively and efficiently meet business needs

Support team in managing and building positive relationships with project team members, business, technology, vendor and key stakeholders

Collaborate with, and influence partners, sponsors and businesses to make effective business decisions

Support the project intake process, providing input and expertise; assigning requirements resources appropriately while setting clear expectations with regards to capacity and resource availability

Define and promote the use of templates, best practices, learning tools and professional development that will drive efficiency and effectiveness

Maintain high level of awareness of current enterprise, industry trends and best practices as it relates to Business Analysis and payments

Ensure team adheres to compliance and procedure guidelines to support satisfactory audit results

Provide coaching, development, succession planning, recruitment and overall team leadership and provide regular input into Business Analysts assessment of performance through coaching and development plans

Act as a consultant / resource to business partners and stakeholders at all levels by promoting and developing awareness of business analysis, requirements discipline and best practices

Provide insight, information and recommendations to the BA community of practice to align with enterprise & industry best practices

Foster a positive and cohesive team environment / culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism

Job Requirements

Subject matter expert with advanced knowledge of the business analysis discipline, project delivery practices and standards

Strong people leadership skills, with ability to manage both internal and vendor resources

Proven experience in successful requirements delivery for large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs/projects

Demonstrated ability to deliver in a highly matrixed organization like TD

Prioritization and multi-tasking skills to manage requirements delivery on multiple initiatives

Proactive and efficient in resource management and capacity planning

Effective relationship management skills, building partnerships with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, and executives

Ability to present and make recommendations to senior management and executives

Forward thinking and able to find gaps and anticipate risks

Ability to drive continuous improvement in skills and efficiency within the business analysis team and its processes

7+ year related business analysis experience (BA accreditation is an asset)

Prior people management is an asset

Experience in payments is an asset

Prior experience in agile requirements delivery is beneficial
