Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

Providing Investment Advisor (IAs) marketing support for the GTA region. This role oversees the development of Investment Advisor marketing support material ensuring it meets brand, legal and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include: working with internal and external partners on creative development and adaptation, approvals and translation requirements for all customized marketing materials and promptly responding to all marketing requests.

A key function of this role is to provide a consultative approaching to Advisors with their business development and marketing plans to increase client acquisition/loyalty with prospects and clients.

Key Accountabilities

Program Delivery – 70%

  • Oversee the development, implementation and execution of marketing requests for BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisors
  • Develop, maintain and ensure adherence, to BMO branding guidelines, including updating brand initiatives.
  • Regularly update and create posted marketing material on intranet; keeping in constant communication with the BMONB advisors to ensure timely completion of marketing requests.
  • Oversee proper maintenance of records of all projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness and in a manner that complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up to date documentation for tracking and measurement.
  • Assist with the design, development and implementation of marketing/sales strategies to drive assets and revenue growth.
  • Help to develop strategic Firm-wide marketing campaigns, and/or specific district / division level campaigns by establishing key targets, tracking results and working with other marketing partners to execute campaigns.


People Management – 10%

  • Working with the Head of Marketing of BMO Nesbitt Burns, collaboration with with Graphic Designers to ensure timely delivery of related projects, and Marketing Coordinators


Vendor Management – 20%

  • Manages various external print vendor relationships for IA marketing requests and ensure delivery


Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • As strategic marketer, you will develop and implement a feedback process to understand the ongoing needs of the Nesbitt Burns business objectives and those of and individual IAs. You will need to gain buy-in from a variety of stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Legal etc…), ensuring marketing support, tools and initiatives achieve business and communication objectives.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills are required. You will build and maintain strong relationships with: Investment Advisors, Branch Managers, Legal, Compliance and other internal departments. These relationships will ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and with maximum effectiveness.
  • Financial Services/Wealth Management preferred.
  • Superior execution and project management abilities.
  • Strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated success in simultaneously bringing multiple projects through to successful completion.
  • Strong creative evaluation and innovative thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with a multi-disciplinary group.
  • Proven marketing experience in advertising, direct marketing, collateral, digital, and social
  • Exceptional relationship building, management and negotiation skills
  • University or Post-Secondary education required.
  • Business or Marketing Communications preferred.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset.
