Roles & Responsibilities

As Manager of Risk and Compliance, you will primarily be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all Risk and Compliance initiatives.   You will develop and have ownership over Corporate Compliance, Risk, and Privacy Programs to assess current and future compliance and privacy needs.  Success in this role requires strong research, risk assessment and project management skills, along with the ability to identify and manage legalities in multiple geographies. You will develop and utilize the Corporate Compliance, Risk, and Privacy Programs to evaluate needs within the organization and initiate any required updates or new standards to meet corporate strategic objectives.  The program will incorporate maintenance and ownership of current policies and proactive identification of new policies. Details of this role include, but are not limited to: Compliance:

  • Oversee existing compliance initiatives, including PCI-DSS and SSAE 16 SOC-1 Type II
  • Establish and maintain relationships with audit firms and compliance consultants
  • Proactively research and propose new compliance standards based on the strategic direction of the company and industry standards
  • Address concerns from enterprise clients regarding compliance deficiencies through additions or revisions to compliance initiatives
  • Evaluate compliance risk for new corporate projects, relationships or geographies

Privacy:

  • Develop and maintain corporate privacy policy
  • Define all PII and SPI that we currently store, transmit or share with third parties or vendors, and identify current jurisdictions
  • Research and identify privacy legislations for current jurisdictions and incorporate into the privacy policy
  • Evaluate the privacy impact for new corporate projects, relationships or geographies, and implications of any related privacy legislations

Internal and External Audits:

  • Develop and maintain an audit plan to identify corporate projects and possible audits, and assign a level of risk to each
  • Provide project management support for each audit and communicate all milestones, timelines and requirements to stakeholders
  • Work with Account Management and Executive teams to manage audit and contractual expectations with clients
  • Collaborate with key management to ensure understanding of compliance strategies, objectives and initiatives

Risk Management:

  • Develop a framework for the identification of risk
  • Lead the risk assessment initiatives
  • Work with the stakeholders on analysis of the risk assessment results and remediation plans / risk avoidance
