Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing strategies and project manage campaigns for effective promotion of the company, their exhibitions, educational and public programming, events, corporate relations activities, membership, and other initiatives.
Will direct external vendors and partners, including advertising and media placement agencies and ensure effective use and delivery of key messaging and branding on all advertising campaigns.
Oversee tourism marketing, supervise marketing team staff, and perform other related duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary education and 5-7 years recent experience in Marketing and Branding, or equivalent training and experience
5-7 years’ experience in planning, production and management of promotional campaigns from inception through evaluation
5-7 years’ experience working with advertising and creative agencies, production, printing and distribution companies and other vendors
3-5 years’ experience in project management, including using project management tools
3-5 years’ experience in market research, segmenting and targeting audiences
3-5 years’ budget planning, management, and implementation skills
3-5 years’ advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
3-5 years’ experience analyzing and synthesizing information for campaign development, reporting and evaluation purposes
2-3 years’ experience supervising staff
Excellent writing and editing skills, with knowledge of promotional sales messaging;
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, judgment, discretion, customer orientation and team player; patience and flexibility.
