Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure that the Process Engineering Work Process Discipline and Global Project Methodology (GPM) are followed to provide Process Engineering Deliverables for projects.

Support improvement teams in the definition, evaluation and implementation of improvement projects according to the respective business objectives and goals.

Provide value adding technical solutions and/or implementation of most effective technology to project teams according to the units / team’s objectives and goals.

Develop and enhance key process engineering competencies, such as steady state modeling, dynamic modeling, specific unit operations designs (e.g., Heat Exchange, Distillation), fluid dynamics calculations and others.

Participate in the Process Engineering mentoring/coaching program as a mentor/coach.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline 

Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or process engineering environment

Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologist of Alberta (APEGA)

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company support or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Worked in role within GPM, or equivalent, project execution work processes and has broad understanding of the deliverables for the various disciplines

5+ years of relevant experience in petrochemical industry
