Work collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization, and with multi-discipline teams, to steward the reliable operation of the rotating equipment within the refinery.
Document machinery history accurately and completely with an emphasis on the root cause identification and scope of repairs. Works with other Rotating Equipment Specialist and business unit owners to prioritize worst actor list and follow through to resolution.
Analyze machinery history and develop prioritized reliability improvement opportunities. Assists in project implementation as required.
Provide support to the Maintenance Department through the development and review of machinery repair checklists, preventative maintenance checklists, and maintenance procedures as required. Provides technical assistance to operational troubleshooting of machinery issues.
Provides analysis of the condition of equipment based on condition monitoring and surveillance program result. Works with Maintenance Department and Rotating Equipment Specialist to identify issues and provide mitigated path forward.
Lead/facilitate Incident Investigations as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Job knowledge: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience in maintaining of rotating equipment in an Oil and Gas setting. 1-3 years of experience in hands on, troubleshooting, diagnostic, analysis and improvement implementation of rotating equipment. A vibration level (I/II) designation from a recognized industry and/or previous experience in data analysis of machinery dynamic behavior would be a strong asset. Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification would be an asset.
Technical: Demonstrated experience performing Root Cause Analysis and driving out defects and apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) fundamentals.
Interpersonal/Communication skills: Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly in multidiscipline teams. Values diversity and communicates effectively both orally and in writing to a wide range of audiences. Able to give and respond well to feedback.
Safety: Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and passion around minimizing incidents. Demonstrated ability to incorporate safety and environmental awareness into developing tangible solutions towards improving equipment reliability.
Work Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to concurrently handle many assignments and balance varying priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to track work progress and communicate progress to others.
Initiative: Extremely dependable and self-reliant. Displays a high level of ownership and the ability to work independently or as a team member. Understands business goals and works to bring issues to resolution.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and guide both technical and non-technical people. Lead multi-disciplinary groups and teams.
