Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Day to day running of the business 

Ensure scheduling is completed on a weekly basis and sent on consistent days. Ensure there is no overlap in time off requests being granted.

Plan in advance for days/weeks we are short staffed due to time off requests

Approve hours in PGI. Daily checking of accuracy being approved.

Ensure checklists are being followed on a daily basis, every position needs a checklist and every checklist needs a manager’s signature

Plan for upcoming events ahead of time

Meet with GM and discuss promotions, advertising, special events

Create a training regime to be followed

Focus on Hiring and firing of employees

Controlling employee discipline

Random “Mock” health inspections to ensure the entire team is ready

Accurate inventories are taken on weekly + Monthly basis

Requirements

Education & Experience

Minimum two (2) years of recent brand restaurant experience at the management level or equivalent 

Serving it Right or Pro Serv Certified

Culinary experience, knowledge of craft beers, wines and cocktails

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Record of maintaining high standards in food quality, guest satisfaction, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation 

Passion for the food, beverage and the restaurant industry

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the capacity to develop and motivate staff to achieve challenging goals

Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
