Roles & Responsibilities

BlackBerry is looking for an enthusiastic Salesforce professional to work on our growing Salesforce platform delivery team. Reporting to the Manager of Business Applications Systems, you will be embedded in the Salesforce Agile team, where you will be responsible for delivering solutions to our Sales, Service, and Marketing organizations alongside other talented Salesforce professionals. You will bring your skills to a multifaceted team with plenty of room to grow and learn, while being collectively responsible for operations support, analysis, and development.


  • Collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders in the design, development, and testing of solutions on the Salesforce family of technologies to deliver added value to ourinternal Business Partners, external Partners and Customers
  • Utilize declarative functions such as Workflows, Validation Rules, Flows, and Process Builders to quickly deliver solutions to business problems
  • Using best practices in Salesforce customization, implement custom solutions using programmatic approaches including Apex, Visualforce, and the Lightning Component Framework
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues on the Salesforce family of technologies
  • Investigate and learn new Salesforce functionality to maximize BlackBerry’s investment in the Salesforce platform
  • Train and mentor co-op students new to the Salesforce team
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical business functions
  • Work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • Experience building software using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Practical knowledge of version controls systems (Git, Subversion, Perforce, etc.)
  • Experience with issue tracking and project management systems (Jira, Rally, TFS, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator and Developer certifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, and Pardot
