Roles & Responsibilities

The Position

The SDET Intern will report to the QA Director and work closely with senior members of the QA team. As a member of the QA team, the SDET Intern will be responsible for development, test automation, and testing as part of a scrum team. The SDET Intern’s primary responsibilities will be the effective assurance of product quality through the execution of test strategy including: test automation, code inspections, and white-box testing.

Responsibilities

Design test cases to be either manually executed or automated
Develop test automation frameworks
Write automated tests (both black box and white box)
Actively contribute to code reviews
Validate that requirements and fixes meet acceptance criteria
Verify defects and ensure appropriate automation is in place
Perform exploratory testing of new features and product changes
Advocate for quality of testing
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across multiple technologies
Work closely with a team of developers to reach defined goals and meet deadlines
Commit to ongoing learning and development
Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization

Requirements

Degree in Comp Sci/Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
1+ years of experience developing and delivering software
Experience testing SOAP and RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Windows or Linux platforms
White Box and Black Box testing
C#, JavaScript, Python
HTML, CSS, JavaScript (nice to have)
NUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Jasmine, TestNG, JMeter
Teamcity, Bamboo, Jenkins, Travis
Git/SVN/Mercurial
Experience working in an Agile development environment
