Department Overview

The Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) organization is comprised of several major departments: Infrastructure Technology Solutions (ITS), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Business Management Group (BMG), ETS Large Program Management Office, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Technology Risk and Information Security (TRIMS), and Enterprise Enabling Technology Solutions (EETS). The ETS finance team is responsible for providing financial support, analysis, reporting, guidance and strategic advice and decision support to ETS management as follows: 

  • Proactive financial leadership resulting in achievement ETS business and financial objectives and budget
  • Develop, manage and deliver an effective performance management framework to ETS management, focused on key (industry standard) cost drivers and metrics
  • Deliver effective financial reporting of results and trends, including operational and strategic advice and recommendations
  • Develop, implement and communicate effective processes for expense management

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, ETS, the position is a unique and integral part of the ETS team, accountable for the delivery of financial analysis, advice and support to the EETS organization, driving business decisions, supporting operations and influencing business results. This role will support the Vice President of Finance & Risk for Technology. 

Enterprise Enabling Technology Solutions (EETS) drives technology strategy and delivers applications and services that enable enterprise functions in both the center and the segments. EETS is responsible for the enterprise data assets, enterprise risk programs, shared utility applications and all corporate applications for TD Bank.


Job Requirements

The Role’s Key Accountabilities Include:

  • This role will be responsible to lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close financial reporting activities, as well as execution of forecasting and planning for assigned units within EETS, headed by EETS Vice Presidents 
  • Provide proactive quality financial analysis, insightful commentary and recommendations that allow the EETS Leadership team to make informed business decisions
  • Provide overall financial results reporting for the EETS executives in the Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR’s), including a comprehensive discussion on key cost categories, drivers, risks/opportunities, trends, FTEs and Total Cost of Technology for their respective Corporate business partners
  • Partner with the EETS management teams to assist and develop annual plan based on key business drivers
  • Provide recommendations on trends and opportunities to reduce costs

Participate in special projects as assigned to provide financial advice and leadership to business / finance partners. Project work includes financial process improvement initiatives with the goal of:

  • Decreasing cycle times and improving management level reporting,
  • Leveraging and supporting roll-out of new tools to minimize use of excel based processes, and
  • Improving control measures to ensure financial data integrity
  • Transforming and maturing technology financial processes and management

Additional Information Specific Educational and Professional Experience Requirements:

  • University degree with or working towards a CPA accounting designation or MBA
  • 5 to 7+ years professional financial or experience in medium to large organization that operates using best practices and performance management processes
  • Experience using financial and related systems (ex. Hyperion Smartview, MS Office, OBI)
