Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include

Strategic:

Develops Network and Telephony strategies, policy and standards and ensures their relevance with scheduled reviews.
Coordinate or executes Network and Telephony assessments of internal and partner systems and architecture.
Ongoing reviews of Network and Telephony technologies ensuring they are aligned with BCAA's goals and objectives.
Collaborates with various BCAA business units to ensure network and telephony services are meeting the requirements of these teams.
Participates in budgeting exercises with management, providing Network and Voice expertise regarding capital and operating business cases for enterprise-wide initiatives..
Develops or participates in Network and Telephony strategies incorporating business requirements. Proactively researches, pilots, evaluates Network and Voice technologies and standards, identifies how they will integrate within the corporate network and recommends strategies.

Governance:

Monitor and manages event management concerning the configuration of Call Manager, Unity and UCCX systems.
Participates in all aspects of our Co-Managed Service agreement including configuration, monitoring, compliance and strategic discussions.
Attends all Co-Managed Services meetings: Governance, Change Review, New Business along with all projects related to Network and Telephony.
Maintains current knowledge of applicable privacy laws and accreditation standards, and monitors advancements in information privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.

Operational:

In coordination with our Co-Managed Services vendor, maintains operational aspects of our PCI maintenance program ensuring adherence to all PCI requirements.
Performs knowledge transfer and training between IS and other BCAA business units.
Provides support for network and telephony analysis and configuration..
Reviews, approves and schedules Network and Telephony patches and updates.
Reviews, completes and schedules Network and Telephony change requests.
Frontline support for information Network and Voice queries.
Monitor internal and external access to IT systems and PCI/Critical environments.
Participate in IT technical meetings and ensure adherence to Network and Telephony principles and industry best practices.
Participate in business project meetings and provide consultative advice in Network and Voice principles and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree preferably in an Information Technology related discipline.
A minimum of 7 years progressive experience working in Information Technology with at least 3 years of experience in Information Security.
OR
A combination of equivalent education and experience.

Other Skills:

Information Network Certification, CCENT/CCT, CCNA, CCDP.
Information Telephony Certification, CCVA, CCVP.
Information Network or Security Vendor related certifications helpful.
Strong knowledge of Internet and network technologies such as: TCP/IP, QoS, firewalls, routers, switches and MPLS.
Strong knowledge of telephony technologies such as: PRIs, SIP, Call Manager, UCCX, Video Conferencing, Cube Routers and Voice Gateways.
Strong knowledge of third-party reporting or work force management tools.
Ability to conduct or manage performance and capacity assessments.
Understands information Network and Telephony concepts, protocols, "industry best practices" and strategies related to enterprise Network and Voice.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven customer support skills.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Must be focused, energetic, meet commitments, willing to take ownership, have excellent judgment and integrity.

Preferred:

Information Network Certification -CCVA, CCVP
Information Network Vendor-related certifications
