Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

Execute an analytical, technical and administrative role in the planning, design, testing, installation and on-going maintenance of components of SLF's Enterprise Network Environment.  Focus Area –> Internet Technologies – such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention, network access controls, application control, identity awareness, URL filtering, DNS, Application Acceleration & Load Balancing, SSL Acceleration
Monitor infrastructure components and take corrective action when defects or problematic trends are discovered.  Investigation and diagnostics shall occur via proven testing methodologies utilizing standard network monitoring tools, documentation, and other various troubleshooting techniques required for service restoration
Complete service reporting of network metrics related to established SLAs for capacity, availability, demand, and service performance, ensuring they are captured, validated and reported and that management action plans are developed and implemented to address deficiencies or issues
Report on historical service level trends and patterns, providing analysis and identification of service improvement opportunities
Perform regular preventative maintenance and lifecycle management upgrades
Integrate security efforts, projects and other related initiatives


Bachelor of Science degree – Required
Vendor Certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Checkpoint, BlueCat; or equivalent DNS/DHCP/IPAM and NAC certifications) is good to have.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations,  administration and management of DNS records, zones, DNSSEC and Secure Zone Transfers
Minimum 4 years’ experience in operations, administration and management of Network Access Control System on a predominantly cisco environment
Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive network engineering documentations is mandatory
Programming, Coding, API (RESTFul/SOAP), Automation experience (Nice to have) is nice to have

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other teams, remaining professional, positive and patient at all times
Ability to effectively interact with and communicate at all levels with our business partners and leadership
