As a key member of the product marketing team, you will be critical in achieving lead and pipeline generation goals for your the higher education segment by formulating and executing integrated marketing plans to drive demand. You have proven success driving integrated marketing campaigns that generate leads and ultimately build meaningful pipeline for a highly successful software sales team.   • Create and implement annual Higher Education segment marketing plans across all product lines
  • Develop segment specific value propositions based on buyer group customer personas.
  • Create and execute new acquisition lead generation programs to achieve new sales objectives.
  • Marketing communications development including copy writing & key messaging across various communication channels.
  • Provide support for all new product launches and Go-to-Market activities.
  • Create sales collateral (ie: product sheets, scripts, objection handling, customer presentations, competitive assessments and training materials).
  • Work with the sales team on initiatives to increase prospect acquisition and customer retention.
  • Clear communication of segment marketing plans by gaining alignment with internal and external stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Serve as a company subject matter expert on all aspects of the Higher Education segment for D2L. Know the products and services capabilities and the benefits to customers, research buyer behavior and be able to articulate differentiated positioning and messaging.
  • Coach, mentor and provide leadership to an Associate Product Marketing Manager.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Industry Expert: You have 5-7 years’ experience in B2B marketing, ideally in the edtech, e-learning, software or technology space and well versed in the higher education market.
  • Strategist: You’ve mastered managing marketing campaigns from concept through completion that drive leads.
  • Sales Focused: You have previous experience collaborating with a highly driven sales team as demonstrated through solid understanding of sales pipelines and enterprise software sales cycles.
  • Communicator: You’ve created an extensive collection of collateral and marketing communications. Your excellent written and oral communication skills are top notch.
  • Go Getter: You have a high motivation with a sense of urgency and willingness to adjust in a fast-paced environment. You are capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
  • Motivated: You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative technology environment.
  • Detail Oriented: You have a keen attention to detail with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • A True Team Player: You have the ability to coordinate resources across sales, marketing and services functions and build rapport with sales team and other professional staff.
  • Understanding of Pragmatic Marketing framework or certification would be an asset.
