Roles & Responsibilities

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Social Media Marketing Managers, we’d ask you to do the following:

Accountable for creative development and execution of all social media programming for WINNERS/Marshalls including managing media, production activity and moderation process and protocols for all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest etc.)

Oversees social media analytics, reviewing industry trends and campaigns and develops recommendations to inform program development and business planning initiatives

Partners and collaborates with Brand Managers to identify social media integration opportunities to support marketing campaigns; provides direction to external agencies and internal departments to achieve marketing/brand objectives

Manages social media communication issues (crisis management) in partnership with Marketing Leadership, Human Resources, Customer Service and other impacted departments

Responsible for providing Social Media Marketing Coordinator with direction and guidance on community management, influencer relations, editorial calendar development and social media activities; reviews performance and provides feedback; and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices

Provides input on succession plans to meet future needs of Marketing includes ensuring team members has a development plan that supports their growth and career aspirations

Assist and/or participate on annual and special projects as needed

6 to 8 years working experience in Social Media or Influencer Marketing experience (agency or corporate), fashion retail marketing preferred managing paid social media campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest) and influencer relations; media buying experience an asset

Post-secondary education in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications preferred

Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to read, write, communicate and interpret information accurately; web copywriting and bilingualism an asset

Strong organizational skills with ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure

Strong problem solving skills including analysis of information (i.e. requirements; description of problems); provide solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions

Good organizational development skills including change management, time management; ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, multi-task and sometimes work under time pressure

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners, influence team members and help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization’s needs; build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise business strategies to support the vision of the organization; demonstrated understanding of quality standards relative to marketing programs initiatives; able to identify gaps and opportunities; strong analytical stills and understanding of social metrics and KPIs

Solid project management skills including structured project methodologies (i.e. determining needs, researching existing programs, etc.); utilizing multiple sources of information to develop well-structured business recommendations preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; determining project specifications; understanding and applying principles of project control; and knowledge of and ability to use project reporting systems

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the Company

Solid people management skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to Associates to resolve issues/problems; provide feedback to team members

General computer skills including MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
