To provide office administration support to the GAIN Geriatric Clinic on a scheduled basis by coordinating client appointments and processing paperwork and client files.
Successful completion of a Ward Secretary/Medical Office Administration course or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Intermediate keyboarding skills (45 wpm).
Good knowledge of medical terminology
Proficiency with various computer programs such as: MS Office Suite, COPHA ordering system, ESP, Meditec/OE,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, telephone etiquette
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact in a client-based clinic.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and to handle change in the work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement, or in a group as a team member.
Must be client focused/driven
Demonstrated ability to maintain a good attendance record and meet the performance standards of the Health Centre
